Toyota Gets Greener with New Eco-Friendly Buildings

Japanese automaker Toyota has built quite a "green" reputation for itself, as this company builds many eco-friendly vehicles such as the Toyota Prius. Now, the company is extending its dedication to sustainability through its building practices. For example, one of the most recent Toyota buildings, the Kansas City Regional Technical Training Center in Missouri has achieved a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. This site trains Toyota dealer technicians. Overall, a total of 11 Toyota/Lexus facilities and 18 Toyota/Lexus dealerships in the U.S. have received LEED certifications.
