If relaxing in your stationary La-Z-Boy after a long day at work isn't enough to suit your fancy, perhaps you'll be interested in one of Toyota auto brand's newest technologies: the Toyota i-Real electric personal vehicle. This new technology deputed to several thousand attendees of the 2012 Beijing Automotive Exhibition; however, no price point or production dates have been released to the public at this time.
The Toyota i-Real is controlled by a pair of joysticks, in much the same way one would control a remote-controlled toy car. This vehicle was originally planned to be put on sale by 2010, but it is still undergoing small implementations to be perfected before full-scale production is initiated. The i-Real is preceded by the Toyota i-nit and i-Swing personal mobility units and is a 3-wheeled, electrically-powered vehicle that moves via lithium-ion batteries. The i-Real has two speeds: Low-Speed and High-Speed, the latter in which it extends and leans back for more stability at higher speeds (with a top speed around 20 mph). The i-Real has great potential (if it ever sees production) to benefit those with little mobility, as well as normally-functioning adults.
Here at Heart City Toyota Scion, conveniently located at 711 N. Nappanee St. Elkhart, IN 46514, we can't wait to see the i-Real appear on the mass market. In the meantime, however, we're more than content with the current lineup of 2012 Toyota vehicles. Why not stop by today and test drive your favorite?
