Here at Heart City Toyota Scion, conveniently located at 711 N. Nappanee St. Elkhart, IN 46514, we're pretty fond of the current 2012 Toyota Prius  lineup, which includes the Toyota Prius v, the Toyota Prius c, the standard Prius, and the Toyota Prius  Plug-In Hybrid; however, all good things must evolve, and there will soon be a significantly updated line of Prius vehicles. For the 2015 model year, there are several rumors running rampant around the internet about this new lineup, and Heart City is here to share them with you.

This fourth-generation of Prius vehicles will be more aerodynamic and much lighter on its feet. Toyota is also reportedly negotiating with tire makers to achieve more low-rolling resistance tires to outfit the fourth-generation of vehicles. Of course, a more aerodynamic Prius also means a more fuel-efficient Prius, and when you consider the fact that these vehicles are already extremely efficient, that's quite impressive.

The weight of the Prius itself has gone up over the year, though the new Prius c compact car is much lighter than the other models in the series. Of course, Toyota must also keep costs in mind. With a lighter weight comes more expensive materials, and the company will want to keep the Prius affordable for the masses.
