Are you a gamer as well as a Toyota fan? Good news, if you play the new Gran Turismo 5 game, you'll be driving the fresh Toyota GT-86 before real-world drivers. The GT-86 was originally named FT-86 in concept form, but in production form, the lettering recently changed. Heart City Toyota, serving drivers in the South Bend, IN and Mishawaka, IN areas, can tell you that Toyota has signed a deals with Sony to allow the company to include the GT-86 in the new game, before it hits the market in the summer of 2012. Sony's free online network allows virtual drivers to add the F/GT-86 into their inventory.

This move makes a lot of sense for Toyota, which would like to bring more attention to the new model and target it towards the younger gamer generation. It also gives fans of the game more variety as far as vehicle choices go.

The real-life new Toyota GT-86 will feature 200 horsepower, a 2.0 -Liter naturally-aspirated flat-four engine, and either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. The rear wheels will include a limited-slip differential, and the vehicle should start between $20k-$25k. The GT-86 will also boast a sporty interior and exterior (the promo version is pumpkin orange), aluminum pedals, red highlighting throughout the interior, and carbon effect trim, to name a few features. The GT-86 is built on an entirely fresh platform, and really is as fantastic as it sounds.

Of course, Heart City Toyota believes that the best way to experience the new GT-86 is to test drive it at the dealership when it arrives this spring. After all, you can't hear the true roar of an engine through a game- no matter how good its sound quality is. However, we hope the game helps appease your sporty appetite until the GT arrives. If not, why not check out our new Toyota inventory currently in stock? Not your style either? We have a fantastic selection of used car and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles as well.
