The annual Tokyo Auto Salon recently took place, and Japanese automaker Toyota certainly was prepared to "wow" everyone in attendance. The brand managed impressed attendees with a turbocharged version of its popular Toyota Yaris, or Toyota Vitz, as it's known in Japan. Toyota also presented auto enthusiasts with an interesting tidbit: the automaker will be working with GRMN on several small, direct-injection, turbocharged engines. This makes sense since it has managed to all but conquer the electric-gas hybrid market with the Toyota Prius family of vehicles.
